A 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon after injuring her back whilst on Tenby's North Beach.
Mrs. Gwyneth Hunt, from Maenclochog, was walking along the beach between Goscar Rock and First Point shortly after 4 pm when she twisted her pelvis.
Members of the Tenby Coastguard Unit escorted an ambulance across the beach to the casualty, and, after her condition was assessed, assisted the ambulance personnel in lifting the lady onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.
The coastguard team then escorted the ambulance back across the beach before she was conveyed to hospital.
