During a 999 call to the MRCC reporting two swimmers shouting for assistance off St. Catherine's Island, Tenby, at 10.40 am on Saturday, it was reported by the first informant that they had made shore safely.

RNLI Castle Beach lifeguards established that they required no medical attention.

The resort's ILB was alerted, but stood down before it launched.
