A shoal of swimmers will be splashing out to cross the water from Caldey Island to Tenby this July.
As part of a great summer of sport for the resort - which includes Ironman Wales and the Long Course Weekend - the event will see up to 50 people tackling the two-mile course from the monastic isle to the North Beach.
Swimming between Caldey and the mainland has been a challenge taken on by many individuals and groups, but this year's swim, on Sunday, July 21, looks set to be the largest ever.
Held under the umbrella of the Tenby Sea Swimming Association (TSSA), which has organised the town's legendary Boxing Day Swim for over 40 years, the swim will be raising funds for the RNLI.
Said TSSA chairman, Chris Osborne: "We are delighted to be part of the resurrection of this long-standing Tenby tradition. It's a great opportunity for anyone in training for endurance events such as Ironman Wales, as well as the chance for experienced swimmers to fulfil a challenge while raising money for a good cause."
Tenby-Caldey Open Water Swim is sponsored by Princes Gate Spring Water and McCarthy and Stone.
The closing date for entry to the swim is the end of April, after which successful applicants will be notified. Entrants are to 18 and over and wet suits are compulsory.
