A depleted Tenby Swifts completed the double over close rivals Narberth when they paid them a visit on Mothering Sunday.

The mobile Swifts ran their heavier opponents off the park in a delightful display of open running rugby.

Four tries were scored in all, namely by Chris Heesom (2), Matthew Davies and Joseff Morris. Two of these were converted by Toby Smith using the drop-kick method.

The idea was captained by outside-half Jamie Williams, who benefited from the quick service provided by Kiefer Thomson at scrum-half. Wing James Criddle made some good runs, as did Joe Kidney and, of course, the try scorers were prominent. Callum Baxter came on in the second-half and served the side well.

Forwards Declan Sharma, Gareth Lawrence and Sam Ferguson formed a strong front row and newcomer Andrew Evans played a strong game alongside Olly Goldwait in the second row. The back row of Yannic Parker, Joseff Morris and number eight Jack Baker were everywhere in attack and defence.

A thoroughly satisfying win was therefore recorded and the Swifts now look forward to the semi-finals of the cup in the weeks to come.
