The sun shone for the wedding on July 7 at St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, of Mr. Lourens Christiaan Brits and Miss Melissa Jayne McNeilly.
The groom, an electronic technician at Main Port Engineering, Valero, Pembroke Refinery, is the son of Caroline Morris, of Pennar and Louis Brits, of Grootvlei, South Africa, while the bride, who works in the human resources department at Valero Pembroke Refinery, is the daughter of Gary and Sue McNeilly, of Pentlepoir.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a designer fitted A-line gown which featured diagonal pleats and was embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls.
Bridesmaids were Gemma McNeilly (sister) and Liz Pullin (friend), who wore apricot one-shoulder full-length chiffon princess style dresses.
Best men were Louis Brits (brother) and Geoff Martin (friend), while usher was Liam Du Toit (cousin).
Unfortunately, the groom's family were unable to attend from South Africa, but the couple are planning a trip there next year.
The service was conducted by Rev. Michael Butler, with music from the Cleddau String Quartet.
A wedding reception was held at Heywood Mount Hotel, Tenby, during which the couple cut a four-tier wedding cake made by the bride's sister Gemma.
The couple, who honeymooned in the Dominican Republic, are making their home in Sageston.
