THE list of artists who have submitted paintings for the summer exhibition at Art Matters Gallery in Tenby reads like a who's who of Pembrokeshire artists, together with some notable entries from further afield. Entitled 'Summer in Pembrokeshire', the exhibition of new paintings includes work in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and collage, with subject matter ranging from traditional landscapes and seascapes to more unusual and abstract pieces. Among the local artists represented are Ann and Theo Whalley, of Haverfordwest, David Jenkins, of Saundersfoot, Susan Sands, of West Williamston, Vanessa Pearson, of Angle, Graham Hadlow, of St. Florence, David Slade, of Saundersfoot, Ken Cooper, of Pembroke, Gwyn Cecil Williams, Maggie Driscoll Williams, Joy Rasmussen, Harry Gardiner, Joan Cooper, Nicky Yeoman, Janette Phillips, Ronda Thomas and John Richards. Notable artists from further away include Janet Bligh, of Swansea, Paul Woodford, of Porthcawl, and David Garfield, of Ross on Wye. The exhibition at Art Matters Gallery in South Parade, Tenby, opens tomorrow (Saturday) and continues for two weeks only, until Friday, August 20, Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm.
