Sir, I hope that no one is taken in by the sudden appearance in a recent edition of the Tenby Observer by the Labour general election hopeful Delyth Evans in the crisis surrounding the Tenby doctor's surgery. Using this issue for political ends is exactly why voters get exasperated and disaffected - whichever Party tries it. The fact is that the candidate in question has no status in this deeply concerning issue; she does not live here, she does not use the service nor does she have the power to influence any of the decision makers. A great deal of work is being carried out by a cross party amalgam consisting of the town council, local councillors, AM's and our MP and I for one do not want these efforts contaminated by blatant electioneering.

Simon Toy, Tenby.
