The recent Tangent Handover Dinner held at The Bay Tree Restaurant, proved to be a very successful and enjoyable experience with 16 members and friends present.

After partaking of a delicious meal, the formalities were attended to.

Brenda Dooner warmly welcomed all present and reported that she had enjoyed an entertaining and fun year. She had also been honoured to represent Tangent at Tenby’s Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

Two Tangent members had passed on during this year – Ingrid Jones and Mary Rowell, both will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.

Tangent Officers were elected. Averil Upham was voted – unopposed - as new Chairman, her second occasion in the Chair. Averil thanked Brenda for her work in the preceding year and thanked all for their support. She was looking forward to an enjoyable 12 months. Congratulations Averil and thank you for stepping up to the plate.

Secretary Debs Davies and treasurer Jane Meyrick were also voted unopposed into office, both having held their respective offices for a magnificent 10+ years.

The raffle prizes were won by Averil Upham, Legs Michelle Grigg, Majella Thomas and Brenda Dooner. It was also entered in the minutes that Catrin Griffiths was the first member to pay subs this year.

The next meeting will be on June 28. All members are asked to please diarise these details and you’ll be contacted by the organisers in adequate time.
