Supporters of the British Heart Foundation held a very successful and enjoyable evening at the Rugby Club on Saturday, March 25. Tefan caterers provided an exceptional meal, while Neil Jackson and Ken Morgan provided the background music. The committee wish to thank the above, along with the club for providing the perfect venue, the steward, Mr. David Davies, and his excellent staff for providing their services. A big thank you also to all who gave raffle prizes and donations toward the cause, this being a defibrillator for use with the local Coastguard. A total of £900.95 was raised. Future events include a Garden Party at Freshfields, Cold Blow, on June 25, courtesy of Mrs. Whiterod. This will be an event to remember. Ladies, just think, a chance to wear your new summer dress and fancy hat; you never know there could be something stronger than the tea and coffee in the offing. Gentlemen, you could just sit around the bandstand and relax and admire the birds! On July 8 it is intended to hold a Car Boot Sale at the CP School. Save all your bits and bobs from your spring-cleaning and sell them on. There will be no trade stands. On October 1, the annual Charity Lunch will be held at the brand new premises at Plas Hyfryd Country Hotel. Take this opportunity to see the new dining facilities, lawns and patios. How lucky Narberth is to have one of the best hotels in Pembrokeshire. The next meeting will be held on May 11 at 7.30 pm. New members are most welcome. Contact Tom on 860220.
