The brother of a local teenager who sadly lost his battle with bone cancer five years ago will be taking on the Ironman Wales challenge this month for a worthy cause.
It would have been Daniel Bridle’s 24th birthday this month, and to mark the occasion and coinciding with ‘children’s cancer awareness month’ - Daniel’s family will be taking on a series of fundraising events to raise money for Bone Cancer Research Trust.
When Daniel of Saundersfoot passed away in 2014 at the tender age of 18, it lead to the Daniel Bridle Memorial Fund being established.
Lewis, his younger brother who is now in his fourth year of studying medicine in University has been balancing his education with a tough training regime in preparation to take on Ironman Wales in Tenby on September 15 for the cause
There will also be a charity bingo night on Friday, September 27 at the RAOB Club in Kilgetty, with eyes down at 7.30 pm. The money raised from this event will go towards the Daniel Bridle Memorial Fund, as well as the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, and West Wales Cat Rescue Charity.
