A special charity lunch was held at the Tudor Lodge restaurant on Tuesday, cooked and served by students who are trainee chefs on the Choices project run at the hotel in Jameston. Guest diners were invited to the four-course lunch, with all proceeds going to the Pembrokeshire Deaf Children's charity. Amongst the delicious cuisine presented was a starter of prawn cocktail gateaux followed by a main course of chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham with a melting cheese sauce. For dessert, an enticing sticky toffee pudding was one of the choices, with coffee and petit fours to round off the dining experience. The students were supervised at all times by the restaurant's head chef and Choices tutor Jamie Bessant, along with his colleague Rhydian Batchelor. "The food has been kindly given to us from Wisebuys in Pembroke, Andrew Rees, Walter Davis and Brakes," said chef and tutor Jamie, who agreed with diners that the students had put on a treat to remember.
