A mother has issued an emotional appeal to her missing son. Mrs. Shirley Murch spoke to the Observer yesterday (Thursday) and urged her son Daniel, who disappeared last week, to contact her. "We love you. Please come home," she said. "If there is something wrong and you are out there alone and frightened, please just come home so we can sort it out. "Nothing is that important that it cannot be sorted out. Everyone loves you and wants you back." Thirty-three-year-old Mr. Murch, who resides in the Clicketts area of Tenby, was last seen by a family member in the town at approximately 11 am last Wednesday, October 27. His car was recovered from the road leading to Waterwynch between Tenby and Saundersfoot. He is described as five-foot nine-inches tall, medium-stocky build and has short dark hair. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a brown/grey jumper and white training shoes. Mr. Murch's disappearance came just days after a 25-year-old man went missing while on a golfing holiday to Tenby. As reported ion the Observer last week, Mr. James Nutley was last seen on Sunday, October 25, after visiting the pubs in the town centre with friends. But when he failed to return to his hotel room, the alarm was raised. Personal property of his, including his driving licence, was later found by searchers on South Beach. Mr. Nutley, of Caldicot, is described as six-foot two tall, slim build, with mousy brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white fleece type top with blue sleeves and a zip to its front, blue denim jeans and trainers. "At the moment, there is no evidence or suspicion to link these disappearances, but obviously we will always keep an open mind and carry out those inquiries that are relevant," said Inspector Les Clark, of Tenby police station. He continued: "In both missing person cases, excellent co-operation has been provided by coastguard personnel and in relation to the search for Mr. Murch, the Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue Team assisted with land searches. I would like to thank all of the individuals involved. "Searches have been made of the coastline by sea and air and the police bloodhound and other search dogs have been utilised. "To date, despite our combined efforts, we have failed to locate either person. "I am still focused on searching for both persons and inquiries continue. I am working on the assumption that both are still alive. "My appeal now is to anybody who may know either individual and who may know their current whereabouts to come forward and provide me with this information." Mrs. Murch also made her own appeal for information. "A lot of people know Daniel and by seeing his photograph I hope it will jog their memories as whether they saw him last week. "Please, if anyone saw Daniel last week, particularly after Wednesday, will they contact the police." Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tenby police station on 842303.
