A 'farewell tea' held by Tenby's Minor Injuries Unit nurses was called a sad occasion this week by town councillors.
Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, both Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas and Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, told their fellow members that they had attended the do.
"Although we are unhappy that the MIU has been closed, we still have some irons in the fire to try and get it back there," commented Clr. Mrs. Thomas
Town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, meanwhile, told the council that he had been contacted by the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network chairman, who had said that there was some confusion in the town since the news of the MIU closure, and they wanted to make it clear that the other clinics at the facility were still functioning as normal.
