To walk from Kilgetty to Saundersfoot conjures up a vista of long roads busy with traffic (writes B.S.). But for the Steps2Health walkers on Saturday, it was a route that took them through an every changing variety of scenes from woodland paths to the coast path. The Silcox bus had brought walkers from Tenby and picked up more en-route to reach the starting point of the RAOB Club. From there, Val Coates-Rees led the way under the by-pass and down Errox Hill. In fact, the route was pleasantly downhill all the way! Bringing up the rear, whistle at the ready to warn of any approaching cars, was Lyn Evans. The impressive tower of St. Issell's Church loomed up in a surprisingly short time. We then took the public path through the caravan site which brought us to the woodland path and then across the field to Coppet Hall beach car park. Saundersfoot provided a wide choice of cafes in which to relax over coffee after an interesting walk that the odd shower had not been allowed to spoil. Great interest is being shown in tomorrow's (Saturday) walk which will culminate in a visit to the Old Control Tower at the former Carew Airfield. To ascertain if there are places on the minibus leaving Somerfield at 10.30 am, ring Val Coates- Rees on 843951. Drivers meet at the Old Control Tower.
