PICTURED is Liz Evans, of St. Florence, who is stepping out to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Next March, Liz will be walking the Great Wall of China to raise money for the charity.
Last May, she walked the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and from this raised £800.
By the end of this year, Liz intends to raise £3,000, again for Diabetes UK.
She is selling notelets and CDs made from the photographs she took on the coastpath, also to raise money, and will be doing a door-to-door collection once she gets her licence from the council.
Liz started on Bank Holiday Monday, by having a stand at the fun day in St. Florence Village Hall.
Said Liz: "Despite a very healthy lifestyle and working at our health for the past 30 years, my husband, John, has now got diabetes. We had been working at getting a balance with this, and have been very grateful for the help we have had from Diabetes UK; this is our way of working to keep them able to offer the same help to others for a long time to come."
Anyone who would like to donate to Liz's appeal can email her at [email protected]">[email protected], or 'phone her on 871402.
She has also opened an internet account for donations which can be made to original.justgiving.com/lizevans2
