Local councillors hope to get the condition of Tenby's railway station back on track, by gaining the support of other towns on the main line who feel that their stations are not being maintained to a high enough standard.
The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, told members of Tenby Town Council at their meeting on Tuesday night that he had received several responses from other areas who felt that campaigning the Welsh Assembly Government to seek improvements to their stations would be a good idea.
"They feel the same about the poor upkeep and condition of their stations and some of the photos they sent me highlighting the poor state of their stations are shocking," Mr. Davies explained.
Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown felt that this was quite a big project and hoped that by working with other towns on the main line from Pembroke Dock up to Llanelli, then progress could be made on seeking improvements and the council could appeal to the Welsh Assembly on the matter.
