Station Officer Clive Richard Webb has retired from the Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade.

Clive Webb, who is married to Ruth and has a son Jonathan and daughter Victoria, has served the Brigade for 38 years, having spent 37 years at Tenby Fire Station.

Joining the Auxiliary Fire Service in 1964, Clive began his career at Pembroke Dock, before becoming a retained firefighter at Tenby later in 1964.

During his period of employment, Clive has witnessed and attended many significant incidents such as the Amoco fire in 1984, the Pointsman also in 1984 and the Texaco Oil Refinery incident in 1994.

Chief Fire Officer Ronnie King, of the Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade, said: "Station Officer Clive Webb has been dedicated to serving his local community for over 38 years. This is a tremendous achievement and I would wish to place on record my sincerest thanks for his commitment. Whilst I am saddened to see him retire, I wish him the very best in the future.
