One of Tenby's long-serving councillors has decide to retire from civic duties.
At Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, the town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, informed members that Clr. Mrs. Maureen Ward had decided to offer her resignation.
In a letter, Clr. Ward explained that she had taken the decision due to ill health, which had caused her to miss a number of meetings in recent months, going on to wish her colleagues all the best. Clr. Mrs. Ward was elected onto the town council in May of 1987. She served as Mayor of the town on four occasions, in 1991, 1992, 1995 and 2000.
