A musical co-produced by talent hailing from Pembrokeshire has gained excellent reviews after a successful run at Cardiff's Chapter Arts Centre.

Stalking John Barrowman, which tells the tale of two fans who set out to track their idol, was the brainchild of two Pembrokeshire writers, Naomi Chiffi, now of Tenby, and Jude Garner, of Broad Haven.

In addition, the show's lead male Simon Bulley is himself originally from Pembroke Dock, as well as director David Evans.

All six performances of the show, which ran at the end of August, were sold out and received a standing ovation.

"We have had some wonderful reviews, including a 4/5 star report in the South Wales Echo and an excellent one by Mike Smith at Theatre Wales, as well as some great coverage in the Western Mail," said David, who along with Naomi and Simon is a graduate of Pembroke School, where their interest in musical theatre originally began.

"In addition to a successful run, we were very surprised to have audience members travel from France and Germany to see the performance!

"We are now hoping to tour with it at the beginning of next year and ultimately take it to to the Edinburgh Fringe next year," he added.
