In celebration of International Nurses Day, staff at BMI Werndale Hospital joined millions of people internationally in honouring the hard work, dedication and professionalism of nurses around the globe. International Nurses Day is a day of recognition and celebration as nurses worldwide unite to take pride in their jobs and highlight the important role they play in the delivery of healthcare provision worldwide.
To celebrate the day, BMI Werndale Hospital's nursing team were rewarded for their hard work and dedication with some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Nurses were treated to a 15-minute foot massage by therapist Barbara Voyle, from Back2Recovery, Health and Wellbeing and a gift presented to the nurses by Gaynor Llewellyn, Director of Nursing.
Gaynor said: "Delivering holistic patient care is not an easy job and while rewarding it can often be very demanding and at times exhausting. International Nurses Day provides us with an excellent opportunity to give back to our staff and recognise the hard work and dedication they put in every day to ensure our patients get top-notch medical treatment delivered within a friendly, comfortable and compassionate environment.
" I feel very fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated team of nurses and healthcare assistants at our hospital, so it's an absolute pleasure to take a day out to pay tribute to the vital role they play in the running of Werndale Hospital."
