There was a good attendance at the meeting of Mothers' Union on January 20. Jean welcomed the speaker for the afternoon, Pamela Lewis, Outreach officer of Age Concern.
The aim of Age Concern is to promote the well-being of all older people, work to reduce isolation, and provide services to enable choice and independent living. Age Concern help people who want to remain in their homes for as long as possible.
Pamela Lewis's talk was most interesting and beneficial and many of those present learnt of services and facilities of which they were previously unaware.
Jean thanked Ms. Lewis for her informative talk.
Next meeting is on Tuesday, February 3, at 2.30 pm, when guest speaker will be youth worker, Denz.
