The annual St. Mary's Church Fete was held in the church grounds on July 25. The weather was absolutely perfect - the sun shone all day. At 1.15 pm the town crier opened the fete, then the people who had queued outside rushed in to buy from the various stalls.

A very big thank you must go to all the stall holders, the people who helped to put up the stalls and those who gave the wonderful raffle prizes.

A thank you also to the Mothers' Union who made Welsh cakes and served tea on a very hot afternoon.

The total raised by the parish was £2,372.
