On Sunday, the morning Eucharistic Service at St. Issell’s will be tinged with sadness (writes H.P.). We will be bidding a fond farewell or hopefully au revoir to Hannah Karpaty.

Hannah (pictured) first came to St Issell’s nearly four years ago when she began attending evensong and she then became involved with Messy Church before also attending Sunday morning services a few months later.

It was natural for Hannah to begin worshiping in St. Issell’s as her family have connections to the church, her great great grandparents are buried in the old part of the cemetery. As a chil, her grandmother had a caravan in the Old Mill Caravan Park across the road from the church and they would go to church there while on holiday, (before living in the area)

Soon after Hannah began worshipping in St. Issell’s, she became church warden, and began to explore a calling to the priesthood.
