St. Issell’s Church was filled with the sound of excited children as Pebbles Playgroup celebrated Christmas with a party on Monday. Sparkle the Elf came along to provide some Christmas entertainment, then a sumptuous Christmas feast was enjoyed before Father Christmas arrived to give the children a present each. It was wonderful to welcome 40 people of all ages to the party. Pebbles has been a huge success since it started in March and welcoming young children and their families into our church is a joy to see.

Christmas for families continues at St. Issell’s on Christmas Eve, at 4 pm, with the annual crib service. Children will hear the Christmas story and will be invited to search out the characters to make up the nativity scene. Children of all ages are welcome to our family service and fancy dress is most welcome!

We will celebrate Christmas Eve Mass, at 9 pm, with carols by candlelight and a warm welcome will await on Christmas morning at 10.30 am.
