St. Issell's Church was ablaze with colour and scent at the recent Saundersfoot in Bloom Flower Festival. This year the arrangements were outstanding and this was commented upon by many people. This flower festival differs from others because it is a community event, with 34 organisations taking part. Permission to use St. Issell's Church is given by Rev. Canon Michael Butler, beautiful organ music is provided by Mick Gulliford and Gareth Holden and the direction signs are erected by members of the Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions Club. Saundersfoot in Bloom members are very grateful to the organisations for providing the lovely arrangements and to everyone who helped in any way to make the event the success it was. Organisations taking part were: Saundersfoot Floral Art; St. Issell's PCC; Saundersfoot CP School; Methodist Church; St. Issell's WI; Guides and Rainbows; Festivities; RNLI; St. Brides RC Church; St. Issell's Mothers' Union; Caring Association; Guild of Friendship; Barnardos; Inner Wheel; Cancer Research; Tenby Floral Art; Leukaemia Research; Sailing Club; Footlights; Guide Dogs for the Blind; Bowling Club; Tenby and Saundersfoot Lions; Soroptimist International; Pentlepoir School; Travel Fund for Sick Children; Hebron Baptist Church; Thomas Memorial Church; NSPCC; Netherwood School; Macmillan Cancer Relief; Saundersfoot WI; St. Issell's Sunday School; Brownies; Plant Dewi and Saundersfoot in Bloom.
