Last week St. Issell’s Chuch in Saundersfoot was a blaze of colour.

It was Saundersfoot in Bloom’s 34th Annual Flower Festival to be held at St. Issell’s - this year with the support of Father Paul Boyle and Rev. Tricia Campion.

28 organisations took part with some wonderful displays much appreciated by the many visitors and locals alike.

With 100 years since the end of the first World War a special display of poppies was placed in the large window of the lady chapel, this will remain in place until November 11.

The pew ends, made by Sandy Hill Nurseries, were very attractive and were in memory of much loved relatives.

Another attractive feature this year was the very pretty wool flowers made by the Yarn Bombers from Little and Large.

These adorned the entrance gates and outside of the church as well as a display on the harbour advertising the festival.

Saundersfoot in Bloom wish to thank everyone who helped in any way in making the festival so attractive.

Grateful thanks are given to the Tenby and District Lions; John and Neil, for erecting the directional signs.

The organisers are hoping that next year’s festival will be held around thre same time.
