Members of the St. Florence group of the Mothers' Union met in the village Church last week. Mrs. Pam West welcomed everyone and led a service from the MU handbook.
Then some lovely music was greatly enjoyed, 'Adagio' by Albinoni, 'Canon' by Pachelbel, followed by the well-known 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring' by J. S. Bach, and Pam spoke about each composer afterwards.
Decorated shoeboxes filled with presents for Operation Christmas Child were handed over to Mrs. Christine Rees who will take them to the Pembroke Dock branch of the Co-op for dispatch abroad later this month.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 9, at 2 pm, when friends will be invited for tea and carols.
