A group of Pembroke councillors, local traders and residents decided to tidy up and weed Pembroke last Sunday.

Approximately 15 people turned out to help tidy and weed a portion of the Main Street from That's Nice to St. Michaels Square.

It is hoped that the group can continue to work through the Main Street during regular intervals over the next few months in preparation to welcome Christmas shoppers to this wonderful town and to prepare for the next tourist season in 2013.

Dates will be arranged and displayed locally and on the Pembroke Town Council website for the next 'tidy up and weed', and all are welcome to help.
