Snow is guaranteed at the spectacular Saundersfoot St. Nicholas Christmas Market, to be held this year from Friday, November 30, to Sunday, December 2. For among the highlights of next weekend's harbourside event will be a snow machine, as well as the ever-popular skating rink, which is 50 per cent bigger this year. Peter the Penguin will also be in attendance. Father Christmas will also be visiting during the three days and will be looking forward to meeting his friends in his special grotto, while there will be around 60 well-stocked stalls, with arts and crafts and Yuletide gifts, to browse around. And, of course, there will be plenty of entertainment from the Vagrants Crew, Netherwood School and the Salvation Army Band. The United Churches Choir will be singing carols on Sunday. There will also be tasty refreshments, with stalls selling seasonal food and drink. For the children, there will also be rides to enjoy. Clr. Bill Cleevely, chairman of Saundersfoot Community Council, will be opening the market on the Friday, while Santa will be switching on the lights at 6.30 pm that night. Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism, who organise the event, would like to extend a special thank you to PLANED, the Harbour Commissioners and harbourmaster and to Lee Brace for their support. Sponsorship from the Welsh Assembly Government, Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Tourism, South West Wales Tourism Partnership and Clay Shaw Butler has been much appreciated.
