A six-year-old boy who is in remission from leukaemia has received an extra special Christmas present. Little Tom Clode, who attends Heywood Lane Infants School, has been presented with a cheque for £150 from the Daniel Burrows Trust Fund. On hearing that Tom was in remission, Daniel, who was a friend of Tom's elder brother, William, wanted to give Tom a present, but Daniel sadly lost his own battle against cancer in the summer and never got the chance to give the gift. Now, however, Daniel's mother, Cheryl, has honoured Daniel's wish and given Tom a donation of £150 from Daniel's Trust Fund.
