Tenby Library had the last of the Summer Reading Challenge special events for children this week; a party for the end of summer.

There was a story, The Way Back Home, about a boy and a Martian stranded on the Moon who help each other. Biscuits were carefully decorated with coloured icing and star sprinkles, then gleefully eaten. A Solar System mobile was made, and lots of photos were taken.

The Summer Reading Challenge is still running for few more weeks, plenty of time for people who have started it to finish. Just visit the library three times in total, borrowing at least two books each time, and each time get a sticker. Everyone who completes the Challenge gets a certificate and a medal, and those who finish by Friday, September 13, will be entered into a draw to win an extra-special prize.
