The Seniors Section at South Pembs. Golf Club completed their season of Turkey Trot competitions on Tuesday, December 21. Some very familiar faces appeared in the winners enclosure once again. Prizes were actually real turkeys this year, with chickens for second places. Regrettably, the birds were not live ones! This might have produced more fun on the day than the members expected. Mike Williams (capt.) expressed the members' thanks for the work put in by secretary Clive Pitten. Results were as follows: Tuesday, December 7: Category 1 (0-17 handicap) - winner, Harold James; runner-up, Dai Evans. Category (18-28) - winner, Doug Weston; runner up, John Dix. Tuesday, December 14: Category 1 - winner, Harold James; runner-up, Jim Boyd. Category 2 - winner, Charlie Lewis; runner-up, Clive Pitten. Tuesday, December 21: Category 1 - winner, Derek Goodridge; runner-up, Vince Simes. Category 2 - winner, Gerry Keys; runner-up, Clive Pitten
