Once again, Saundersfoot-based South Pembrokeshire Young Performers have enjoyed another fun and educational term.
Based at Saundersfoot CP School, the group offers drama education classes for school Years 3 and above.
The culmination of the students' hard work at the end of last year, resulted in a successful Christmas performance for parents and family, with unsuspecting family members joining in the fun!
During the spring term, members have been working on aspects of physical theatre under the guidance of new tutor Emma Griffiths.
Emma has studied drama herself and has been able to bring her lively and enthusiastic approach to the group, bringing out the best in everyone!
Plans for the summer term include the students researching, writing, directing and performing a play to celebrate the Queen's diamond jubilee, as well as working on mime and musical theatre. The aim of SPYP is to learn as much about performing as possible and how to do it well!
SPYP meet every Wednesday during term time at Saundersfoot CP School at the following times; 6-7 pm Years 3-6, 7-8 pm Year 7 and above.
