The South Pembrokeshire Hunt Branch of the Pony Club recently held their 50th anniversary show at Bangeston by kind permission of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Meyrick. Despite heavy rain the day before the show, the weather on the day was perfect, much to the organisers' and riders' relief! The show included a variety of showing, working hunter, show jumping and novelty classes. For the first time, the show was a qualifier for the SWPA Championships due to be held at David Broome's Equestrian Centre in Chepstow in September. A large number of competitors from South Pembrokeshire Pony Club won classes to qualify for the championships. There was a large number of competitors in many of the classes and all the riders had an excellent day. The branch would like to thank all the sponsors, judges and stewards for helping make the day so successful.
