Llangennech 19 pts. Whitland 23
Whitland completed the double over Llangennech with a hard fought victory away from home, continuing their solid performances of the last two weeks, winning by 23 points to 19.
Llangennech scored their opening try in this Swalec Division One West clash after two minutes when winger Mark Lemon touched down after the forwards had won the ball from the kick-off.
Whitland's reply was swift, however. From good lineout and a driving maul by the forwards, the backs went wide, with centre Gary Evans coming back on a great angle and putting fellow centre Lee Glanville in the gap; his power took him through the cover tackle to score and outside-half Carwyn Jones added the conversion points.
Jones increased his side's lead with a penalty after 14 minutes and then both number 10s missed one each, before again after good work by the forwards Jones droped a goal and also kicked a penalty to leave the half-time score 16 points to five to Whitland.
The start of the second half was a mirror image of the first, with Llangennech scoring after two minutes through prop Mathew Evans.
Whitland reponded some three minutes later when again Lee Glanville broke through to score under the posts, with Jones adding the conversion to make the score 23 points to 10.
Llangennech hit back and fullback Adrian Thomas kicked three penalties after 13, 15 and 23 mintues to cut Whitland's lead, but once again the Borderers' defence held firm and, even when Gary Evans was yellow carded with four minutes to go, they finished the game the stronger and claimed the points.
There was a solid performance by the pack, with hooker Alan Proctor, second row Raff Williams and the back row of Ryan Michael, Celt Thomas and skipper Randall Williams always in the thick of it, while behind, centres Gary Evans and Lee Glanville looked sharp and fullback Will Davies was full of running.

Whitland Youth 50 pts.

Although the home side gave everything, they had no answer to the all-round power of the young Bordereres, who ran in eight tries without reply.
In the first half, Whitland crossed for five tries, two by centre Alex Pickersgill and one each by centre James Davies, fullback James Stephenson and prop Brynley Toms, with James Stephenson converting four of them, to give a half-time score of 33 point to nil.
In the second half, Whitland wrapped up the game, crossing Llangwm's line a further three times through winger Duncan Evans, Alec Pickersgill, his third, and outside-half Scott Newton.
