Over £22,000 was raised for the National Children's Homes as a result of Chevron Texaco's annual charity snooker challenge at Folly Farm, Begelly, over the bank holiday weekend. As a result, the oil company was pleased to announce that they had now topped the £1 million mark for the charity. Winner of the three-day challenge was Wales' own Dominic Dale (seen second right), while John Parrott MBE (centre) was runner-up. Also seen are Welsh athletics star Jamie Baulch, Ed Wagner, manager of technical operations at Texaco, Phil Thompson, Texaco public affairs adviser, Roz Taylor from NCH, and event co-ordinator Ken Hodgkinson, of Texaco.
