Sir,

It was with great interest I read Mr. Roscoe Howells's letter, in last week's Observer, concerning his lost memory, because I have a similar problem. I have searched my locality without success and I did consider posting lost notices to this effect, but I abandoned this idea because I do not have a recent photograph of it, which is rather foolish of me because I did have a photographic memory.

I have reported my loss to the Bureau of Missing Memories, but when I contacted this organisation recently, the officer responsible replied that he did not remember me reporting it and when he went to consult his records he came back and said that he had forgotten what he went for, but he had left the door open.

I am considering the possibility of widening the search by asking Amnesia International for help, but my main concern is that my memory is out there living rough on the streets, so if anyone has any other suggestions I am sure that your readers would be interested to hear from them.

P.. If I have forgotten to put a stamp on my letter, I do apologise, but I am sure you will understand.
