Inside centre Richard Davies has been nominated Narberth Rugby Club's Folly Farm Player of the Month for September. He received the award during the post-match presentations following Narberth's league win against Corus, and it was presented by Ian Harries, of G. D. Harries and Sons, Narberth, one of the club's main sponsors. Commenting about the choice of the Narberth team management, the club's forward coach, Sean Gale, said: "Richard has played consistently this season and the tries that we are scoring out wide is the result of the damage that he has been doing to opposition defences. "Although he is marked 'close in', he has been able to release the ball for the likes of centre Steve Martin, fullback Sion Brace and our speedy wingers to go over the line for tries. "He has been our catalyst, along with outside-half Aled Davies. "Apart from playing really well in match situations, he does not miss a training session." On being asked why he has nicknamed Davies the 'Silent Assassin', Gale replied: "He is quiet, gets on with the job and is extremely fit. All in all, he is a great player to coach."
