Tenby's RNLI crew experienced a busy weekend, with the Milford Haven coastguard authority requesting their assitance for a number of incidents.

On Friday, shortly after 8.30 pm, the Tenby all-weather lifeboat, the Haydn Miller, was launched after receiving reports that five people were in the water off the Glen, Saundersfoot.

After an extensive search of the area by the lifeboat and Coastguard rescue teams with nothing found, all units were stood down and the lifeboat returned to station.

On Sunday at 9.20 am, the Tenby inshore lifeboat was requested to launch to investigate a drifting dinghy in the area of Skerr Rock.

This dinghy was retrieved by its owner before the lifeboat launched.

Shirtly after, at 10 am, the ILB, the Georgina Taylor, was again requested to launch by Milford Haven Coastguard after they received a report from a member of the public that someone appeared to be waving on Monkstone Point.

On arrival, the lifeboat crew found several cormorants drying their wings - a false alarm with good intent.
