A Saundersfoot man was airlifted to Morriston Hospital on Saturday morning following a four-car collision on the Kilgetty bypass.
Emergency services were called to the scene when a Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a Renault Laguna , a Vauxhall Omega and another vehicles near the A477's Kilgetty/Stepaside junction.
Three people had to be released from their vehicles by the fire service, while the Air Ambulance landed on the carriageway to take the man, who has not been named, to hospital.
He was later released after treatment.
The elderly driver of the Laguna and his female passenger, who were from the Ludchurch area, were among six other people requiring hospital treatment following the accident, which occurred at approximately 10.10 am.
They were conveyed to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, by ambulance, where their condition was later said to be 'comfortable', while others were taken to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.
All four vehicles were travelling from the Carmarthen direction and the road was closed for approximately four hours while emergency services and police accident investigators dealt with the incident.
The incident was attended by three ambulances, a rapid response ambulance, the emergency fire tender from Haverfordwest, and fire engines from Tenby and Narberth, in addition to the Air Ambulance.
