Penally Church was the picturesque setting for the wedding on Saturday of Mr. Charles Stuart James and Miss Sophie Maria Louise Edwards. The groom, a caravan park manager, is the eldest son of Jacqueline and Ian James, of South Carvan Holiday Park, Tavernspite, while the bride is the eldest daughter of Donna and David Edwards, of 28 Holloway Court, Penally. Given away by her father, the bride wore a light gold strapless gown featuring beading and crystals to the bodice and train. She carried a teardrop bouquet of red and ivory roses, berries and gypsophila. Bridesmaids were Kirsty and Keely Edwards (bride's sisters), Tara James (groom's sister) and Shauna Dinan (bride's friend). Flower girls were Katie and Emily James (couple's daughters). Page boy was Oliver Ward (family friend). Best man was Andrew Major and the ushers were Huw Williams and Shane Bill (groom's cousins). The service was conducted by Rev. Michael John. The couple are making their home at Lakeside Lodge, Tavernspite.
