A new venture has begun in Deer Park Baptist Church Hall , at 11 am until 1 pm on Tuesday mornings.
Rev’d. Jonathan Marsden worked for many years in technology in the USA, before deciding to become an ordained minister. He and his wife Nella are, at present, based in Pembroke.
He became aware of the difficulties we seniors, who have not grown up in the world of computing, have with making the most of our devices , such as mobile phones, iPads, iPhones etc.
Jonathan has kindly offered free help to anyone who would like to become more familiar with their devices. You don’t have to be a ‘senior.’
Last week we were told useful information on which type of device would best suit our need and how to save money by installing free programs and apps, rather than paying for expensive ones.
This was followed by a social session of coffee and biscuits while Jonathan and one of the church members Mr. David Kinnard, helped with personal problems.
The sessions take place in the basement hall of the Church. Access is via Harding Street.
Mobility scooters can access via the ramp and there are Invalid Toilet facilities inside.
Invalid parking is available in the Church car park for Blue Badge holders who wish to attend the sessions.
We would be delighted to see you.
Helen Hills (Sec.)
