Tenby Round Table were delighted to host their second summer spectacular of the year on Sunday.

This followed their successful first spectacular on July 30 and should make for a bumper year for the charity organisation.

Thankfully, the weather held during the event and crowds were strong throughout the day. With over 2,000 people passing through the main gate alone, the event proved as always to be a big pull to those from and those visiting the town.

The organisation are very grateful to all of the individuals and businesses who volunteered or supported the event, with special thanks to Valero for not only providing materials to the event, but also the Valero volunteers who helped on the day. Massive thanks are also due to Lydstep Beach Holiday Park by Bourne Leisure, who were the principal sponsors for the event.

The event hosted a selection of bands and singers, with Helter Skelter headlining the event and Westbound providing the supporting act. Other acts included Seren Irish Dancers, Laura Morgan, Caroline Crabtree, Rosey Cale and Caroline Street.

The event was brought to a close with a truly spectacular fireworks display provided by Westcoast Fireworks. The display lit up the harbour and was a truly impressive end to a fantastic day.

All of the money raised at both events will be given away to local causes and charities. For those wanting to follow the organisation’s work, more information can be found at facebook.com/tenbytable.

Tenby Round Table chairman, Matt Broadhurst, was quick to thank those who helped and attended the event.

“I would like to thank everyone who performed, helped out, gave their time, sponsored us, and most of all everyone who put their hands in their pockets and donated/gave money to help us put on these amazing events in our community for our community,” he said.

“We are truly humbled by the support for these events and will continue to try to improve them for the better year on year.

“Lastly, I must thank my team of Tablers on an amazing effort to put this event on; without them, these events would just not happen. If the cost of every man hour put in was totalled up in the planning and execution of these events, it would cost around £40,000 to put on and this is all done for free. So once again, thank you.”

Rotary will host the final Summer Spectacular of 2017 on Sunday, with the Lions Paella Festival unfortunately not making an appearance this year
