Top stars George Cole and Timothy Spall paid a visit to south Pembrokeshire this week to film the scenes for a new Channel Four comedy/drama.

A Tiger Aspect production, 'Falling Down' focuses around Londoner Mitchell, played by Auf Wiedersehen Pet star Spall, and the disintegration of his life following the loss of his job and the break-up of his marriage.

Central to the plot, written by Tony Grounds, of Births, Marriages and Deaths fame, is his relationship with his father - Minder star Cole - culminating in a trip to Tenby, where Mitchell's parents enjoyed their happiest holidays.

Filming for the three-part production - described as a 'dark comedy' by producer Catherine Wearing, - took place on The Croft, Tenby and at St. Govans this week, with the stars and a 40-strong production crew staying at several local hotels.

Also starring One Foot in the Grave's Annette Crosbie and Lesley Manville, Falling Down can be seen on Channel Four later in the year.
