ONE of Wales' leading TV production companies is scouting for budding programme-makers from across Wales to help make an innovative new series. Green Bay Media is looking for children aged between eight and 14 to take part in the forthcoming BBC Wales series, Through Children's Eyes. One episode of the four-part series will focus on re-marriage, step-families, divorce and separation from the child's point of view, and the producers are keen to find youngsters who, with support from their families, want to share their experiences of changing home life. "It's a very exciting project," says series producer Phil George. "We're more or less giving over production of the entire series to the children who take part. They each get their own camera, and they get to film the majority of each programme - so they are, quite literally, calling the shots themselves. "We're looking for children whose parents are getting re-married," says Phil. "We're also looking for children whose parents are separating or getting divorced, or who are already part of a large step-family. "We know it's a very tough subject. Last year, we made an episode of Through Children's Eyes about children with life-threatening health problems for BBC Wales' Me and My Health Season. At times, the children were dealing with very sensitive issues, but anybody who saw the programme could see how liberating and empowering they found the whole experience."
