An air and land search was launched during the early hours of Sunday morning for a 40-year-old man who was reported missing in South Pembrokeshire. Following a call from Dyfed Powys Police to the coastguard at Milford Haven, the coastguard rescue teams from Tenby, Manorbier and Broad Haven, together with the rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor, began a search at 3.35 am of the upper reaches of the Cleddau River for the local man who was thought to have gone to his boat moored on the Cleddau. Likely places were searched and the man was found safe and well on one of his vessels. He had secured it and another vessel following the strong winds, and with a falling tide, could not make his way home, so decided to stay the night on the boat.
