Tonight (Friday)?the Tenby and District Arts Club meeting at St Johns Church Hall, Warren Street, Tenby will not be a talk or a slide show, a poetry reading or a demonstration but a real ‘live’ band, writes Carol Brinton Thomas.

You’ve probably heard of them because they are an extremely popular group of talented musicians all from our very own county. Yes, I am talking about ‘Razor Bill’.

They will be performing, both well known sea shanties and songs. And I can guarantee that your toes will be tapping and your hearts souring with the sentiments in the songs and joyful rhythms.

Thinking of the word ‘Razor’ I will however reassure you that there will be no razors present with which to shave your beards, and no sea shells from which to winkle the razor fish from.

And with the word ‘Bill’, there will be no sight nor sound of any sort of invoice, or a document of notification, and to my knowledge no one by the name of William.

What I do know however, is that if you can come along this evening the welcome will be warm, the biscuits and tea/ coffee will be tasty . And the music, fabulous.
