The traditional meal of sausage and chips enjoyed by generations of club rugby players after their match on a Saturday afternoon could soon be given the red card.
Tenby United RFC who play in Division Four (West) of the Asda Welsh National League have ditched the usual stodgy post-match fare for a healthier alternative.
So instead of pie, sausage and chips back at the clubhouse, Tenby players and their opponents now tuck into salads, meat and egg sandwiches and even cawl.
The new menu has proved a hit with players. Said Tenby skipper, Gavin Brace: "The boys are really enjoying the fresh food. After all, not everyone fancies a greasy bowl of chips after running around a rugby field for 80 minutes." The healthy eating option is the brainchild of Tenby's first team coach, Kenny Davies, who is also the Welsh Rugby Union's development officer in Pembrokeshire.
"I decided it would be a good idea to team up with Health Challenge Pembrokeshire and try to change the habits of a lifetime" he explained.
"Stewardess Wendy Morgan and her team have been brilliant and are turning out fresh, healthy food for the players. All the opposing teams have given the initiative the thumbs-up and hopefully other clubs in the county will follow Tenby's example.
Health Challenge Pembrokeshire spokesman, Jo Keeling, said she was delighted to have the Tenby club onboard.
"They are making positive steps to improve the health and well-being of the players and it's also sending out the right message to their families and friends," she said.
And Sian James, Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet member for health and well-being, added: "It's great to see people are understanding the importance of healthy eating and are putting it into practice."
