A report that screams for help were heard from the Dak Cafe area of Manorbier Beach sparked a land and sea search earlier this week.
Coastguards from Manorbier were tasked to the scene shortly after 11 pm on Monday night.
On investigation, the team also heard the calls which they believed were from someone in trouble and they quickly called for support of the Tenby unit.
Aided by the police, who carried out a search of the village, the coastguards combed the cliff top and beach area between East Moor Cliffs and Priests Nose.
An hour-and-a-half into the operation, Tenby's all-weather lifeboat and the resort's inshore craft were launched, with the crews of both vessels illuminating the cliffs and checking the coastline from the seaward side.
But after a thorough search, the rescue teams failed to locate anyone in difficulty and with nobody being reported missing that night, the search was concluded shortly after 2 am.
