Work is to begin next weekend to introduce traffic calming measures on a busy road in Tenby where three schools are situated.

Members of Tenby Town Council were informed at their meeting on Tuesday night, that Pembrokeshire County Council would be starting work on making part of Heywood Lane a 20 mph zone, from Saturday, March 15.

Vehicular traffic would be temporarily prohibited from proceeding along various sections of the route where works were being carried out, between Oakridge Acres and Leachway, and that the restrictions which would be signed accordingly, wuld remain in force for a duration of two weeks.

To minimise disruption to school traffic, closures during the week would only be implemented between 9 am and 2.3 pm, with pedestrian access maintained together with vehicular access to properties located either side of the works area.
